The Township Supervisor manages the township’s daily operations, oversees public services and property, prepares the annual budget, leads the Township Board, and ensures township laws and policies are followed.

  1. Leadership & Administration
    • Oversees daily township operations and coordinates the work township departments
    • Ensures township ordinances, policies, and state laws are properly enforced
    • Serves as the chairperson of the Township Board and leads board meetings
  2. Public Works & Township Property
    • Manages and supervises public improvements, utilities, and township‑owned property such as buildings, equipment, and infrastructure
    • Oversees maintenance of roads, sidewalks, lighting, and other public assets when applicable
  3. Budget & Financial Oversight
    • Prepares and administers the township’s annual budget under the policies set by the Township Board
    • Helps ensure the township remains financially responsible and sustainable
  4. Board & Committee Participation
    • Votes on township matters as a member of the Township Board
    • Serves as an ex‑officio member of all township committees, providing leadership and continuity across projects and initiative
  5. Moderator of Township Meetings
    • Acts as the moderator for annual or special township meetings when present, as required by Michigan law
